Tom Collins Releases New Video for 'Soft Lad'

North Wales singer-songwriter Tom Collins has released a new video for ‘Soft Lad’.

This is his first release since he dropped his debut EP Telling Tales back in October 2019.

The video explores Collins’ growth as a person - quite literally - as the use of family footage allows us to take a glimpse at his early years.

‘Soft Lad’ itself illustrates the singer’s musical evolution, as his songwriting seamlessly fits with the sense of nostalgia in the video.

Speaking to Only A Northern One, the singer said:

“The video is reflecting and appreciating the good things in life. Lockdown has been tough for everyone but sometimes we need to realise what we do have in our lives. Looking back at old VHS tapes was hilarious yet so eye-opening to see how the world has changed so much.”

Since the lockdown began, Collins has also taken part in a number of live stream and virtual events, most recently for charity Giddo’s Gift.
