Single Review: No Vacancies - Without You

Manchester-based band No Vacancies have returned with brand new single ‘Without You’, and it’s a track that yet again proves why No Vacancies are one of the most exciting indie rock bands to emerge in recent times.

Having dropped their debut EP Bad Habits back in 2019 through their independent label 76 Records, they have returned two years later with a new offering that cements and evolves the band’s undeniable talent for curating moody indie tunes.

The Hot Fuss-style guitars that kick off the track are immaculate, with the accompanying drums steadily crashing away beneath the song's surface, creating an impeccable indie soundscape that immediately draws you in.

Vocally and lyrically ‘Without You’ tackles the topic of loss and the effect it has on the innate human dependency we all have, with the lead singer Will’s vocals ultimately portraying these relatable lyrics with a sense of honest desperation.

With two forthcoming singles in the pipeline to follow in the coming months, expect to hear a lot more new material from No Vacancies in the not so distant future. And if ‘Without You’ is anything to go by, we cannot wait to hear what they do next.
